About Us
We are a small team of dedicated speech pathologists with a wealth of experience in treating a range of swallowing, communication, voice and middle airway disorders. With convenient locations in both Springfield and Ipswich central, we provide services to clients in a specialist clinic which is co-located with Ear, Nose & Throat specialists. Additionally, we can offer telehealth services where appropriate.
Integration is at the heart of what we do, as we collaborate closely with your specialists to deliver personalised, coordinated and evidence-based care.

Our Services
Swallowing Disorders

We provide assessment and treatment for difficulty with swallowing as a result of a number of different conditions. This might include swallow changes as a result of:
- Stroke
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Motor Neurone Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Head and Neck Cancer
We also conduct specialist assessment of swallowing by conducting Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) in our clinic rooms.
Voice Disorders

We provide assessment and therapy for a number of different voice disorders which may be the result of:
- Nodules, polyps, cysts and granulomas
- Muscle tension dysphonia
- Vocal fold paralysis
- Laryngeal tremor
- Pre and post operative voice therapy
Chronic cough

If you have been diagnosed with a chronic cough by a Respiratory specialist, we can work with you to help manage and reduce your symptoms.
We can also work with your specialists, including Respiratory and Ear, Nose & Throat, to complete comprehensive assessment and functional assessment of your larynx to support differential diagnosis of other conditions such as Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction.
Alternative airways
We are also able to provide expert assessment, advice and support for clients who may have alternative airways (such as laryngectomy or tracheostomy).
Meet our Team

Jodie Connolly, Director
Jodie is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 10 years of experience. She completed her Master of Speech Pathology Degree at Griffith University in 2014 and is currently studying a Master of Health Leadership and Management at University of New South Wales. Since graduating, Jodie has worked in Queensland Health facilities across South East Queensland including Princess Alexandra Hospital, Ipswich Hospital, and Redland Hospital.
Jodie has extensive experience in the assessment and management of adult patients with swallowing and communication disorders. This includes advanced skills in: Videofluroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS); Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES); head and neck cancer and tracheostomy management.
Jodie has a keen interest in management of chronic cough and multidisciplinary management of dysphagia. She has also been involved in a number of research and quality improvement projects, including the recipient of research grants.

Lauren Wagner, Director
Lauren is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 10 years of experience. She completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland in 2011 and has worked in a number of healthcare and education settings in Queensland and the NHS in the UK.
Lauren has expertise in the assessment and management of clients who present with a range of swallowing, voice and middle airway disorders, head and neck cancer, laryngectomy, tracheostomy and specialist assessments including: Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS); Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES); and Endoscopic Evaluation of Voice (EEV)
Lauren’s areas of special interest include head and neck cancer and she recently completed certification to provide assessment and management for head and neck lymphoedema.
